If Standby is switched on (special settings) the WOCCS will go into standby after some minutes (can be set in special settings) One klick on the power button will restart the printer (picture1)
What is the "NonStopPrinting" function?
(On page 53 of the Instruction manual)
This is not possible. It means that the day of the month in a date field is printed as a character. Day 1 to 9 as A, day 10 to 19 as B and so on.
What is the "standby mode" function?
(On page 51 of the operating manual)
With NonStopPrinting two cartridges print alternating. One cartridge can be removed for cleaning or exchange while the other prints all the time. See video.
What is the "HiSpeed" function?
(On page 54 of the Instruction manual)
HiSpeed is only possible with Ultimate version. With HiSpeed 240m/min can be reached at 300x300dpi. All 4 nozzle rows print alternating.
Can we change into our own setting about Variable "B"?
(On page 104 of the Instruction manual)
Eg. On the text, 1-9=A, 10-19=B, 20-29=C, …, but can we change into the setting like 1-9=A, 1-9=B, …?
How many maximum heads can we connect when we use 1PC?
It depends on the number of free IP adresses. Max. 253.
About "List of Outputs" on page 64 of the Instruction manual what kind of the output from "10=OK" to "16=OK" on the list?
We can find that there are explanation of the output from "70=OK" to "76=OK" and from "80=OK" to "86=OK" on page 65.
Would you please give us the detailed information of input/output list?
Is there any batteries inside of the printer?
If yes, what is the function of the battery?
There is a battery for the internal real time clock. Only for this function. The lifetime is about 5 years.
About the input signal width of the external sensor, what is the minimum seconds[ms]of it required?
In order to input trigger by using a PLC etc, we want to use a shorter signal width because it is related to the minimum pitch in high-speed printing.
The minimum timing for the start signal is 10ms.
The inputs Bulk System(ZTV), Shutter print head, Reset ink level, Purge X1 MX/XR are not used for your applications. See attached a more clear list of the inputs. (list of inputs)
The output setting from 70 to 86 was for a special application at customer site. You do not have to use it. Same for 03, 04, 47, 48, 57, 58. all other outputs can be switched to ON, OFF, OK, Warning, Alarm, Ink low, Ink empty, Print ready. Print ready give a short output signal (20ms) after finish the print.
About the repeat number of the printing in the prinitng parameter, does the printre continue to print by the value of the repeat printing distance during the sensor is on, when the input value is "999"?
If the setting is 999 it will print endless as long as the sensor detect the product.
As for the "Print direction" on page 41 and the "Upside down" on page 43, is it correct that the description of "as viewd from the print head side" is the view from the top of the printer ?
Yes that is correct.
what is the parameter of "Clock1" and "Head1" in this figure?
Please look at "No.14 sheet".
Visualization of Inputs / Outputs does not work in WOCCS Software (Ver.8.0.10.1).
It does not respond even if I give a signal. There was no problem before.
What kind of things do you think could be the cause?
Clock1 is the internal speed pulse. It is always high. If you switch to encoder speed you will see that it is high as long as the encoder moves.
Head1 is the busy signal of the head. It is high as long as the printer prints.
You can see that the sensor signal goes to high at the same time the head busy signal starts.
Please give your comment for the following questions.

What kind of things do you think could be the cause?
Could be blocked by firewall I checked this on my side and ist working well.
It worked well being off Wirewall, thank you.
We still have a question.
According to manual, there are 4 input, but Input4 has no reaction even if being Input1 – 4 “ON”.
Please see the attached photos “Input-off” and “Input-on”.
By the way, is Team Viewer remote function?
We cannot use this in our company.
Input 3 and 4 are not working in proper way – you will get a new firmware with the fix very soon.
As for the sending the label data, we found that we can not select the label by the select button in the printer when we send the label by selecting the number.
Please confirm this issue.
The printer can memory over 9 labels sent by the file name, but we would like to know what the maximum labels the printer can memory.
To select the messages by the buttons you have to send the messages to the memory number. We have done this during the training. It will work.
You can send 9 labels for selection by the buttons and unlimited number of messages for selection from WOCCS software or external selection via TZ command
About the "Nozzle row" on page 41 of the Instruction manual, when we print a QR code by the nozzle setting [A~B], we found the printing quality difference between A row and B row.
Is there any solutions to solve this issue?
This issue is happened when the QR code printing, not character printing.
There should not be a difference between QR code printing and text printing. We will check this.
Power supply voltage of the printer is DC12 - 24V.
What percentage is the torelance voltage for DC12 - 24V?
The voltage is 12 to 24V +- 10%
We would like to know what the maximum distance can we extend each input/output signals including the sensor.
Up to 50m is possible
We would like to know what the maximum distance can we extend the length of the encoder cable.
Up to 50m is possible
About the "Connecting to Supply Voltage" on page 44 of operating manual, this article's requirements is "Power supply according to "Technical Data" is installed close (max. 1,5 m away) to the printing site". But can we extend the length?
The cable of the standard power supply is 1.5m. So the power connector for the power supply must be 1.5m away max. the cable can be extended by a 15 pin extension cable.
We would like to know what the maximum distance can we extend the length of the HMI display cable.
We have no extension cable for the HMI
Variable of changeable character "s" is described as "0=A".
Is this correct?
That is right. The whole assignement of letters to values can be read up ni the UserPar.dat file where the whole date to letter conversion is defined. This File is located in the Firmware/HMI Folder
There is a description of "* not available in all printer types"
in "Variable text field with multi-byte character set for external control" > "Acceptation of the specific variable letters".
Which one can be applied for X1JET?
If cannot, please advise how to apply.
The Variables listed in this window are all available in the X1Jet Class of Systems. They may not be available in the X4Jet devices
Variable of changeable character is described as "「A」Day, ones (zero suppression)". Is this correct? Should it be "Tens"?
You are right it is the Tenth with zero suppression.
【Date and Clock】Date without 0 can be entered?
Ex.) 2019.1.8
【Date and Clock】Date without 0 and space can be entered?
Ex.)2020.■1.■8(■space)
Values without 0 can be entered as long as there is a zero suppression available for the command.
If you want to replace the 0 with a space there is no easy way for this. A workaround can be done by manipulation the UserPar.dat and define the 0 as a Space
List of Outputs
At what situation signals are given for;
02 = Warning + Alarm (all ahead)
10 - 16 = OK
20 - 25 = Warning
30 - 36 = Alarm
40 - 46 = Low ink
50 - 56 = Ink empty
These Outputs are related each other?
We want to know the meaning of each output and their status.
Would you please fill the sparated excel file "List of Output and status", "Status" field?
On the x1 Jet you can configure some outputs to tell a certain state in digital form.
For example: If the output one yshould be active when the ink is low on Head one you need to set the value 43 on Output 1. In this configuration the digital signal will change when the Head on reaches the ink low value. If you want to have that signal when. Relavant for multihead systems: if you want to toggle the digital state of output 1 when any of the cartridges on the installed heads is low on ink you need to select 40 on this parameter.
For software, what is the meaning of "head","cart", and "cannnel"?
And which one should be chosen for normal use?
Cart = Cartridge Level, this means each physical head that contains one cartridge
Channel = Channel level, on multi head devices there are always two cartridges on one channel.(eg.: cart 1 and 2 on channel 1, cart 3 and 4 on channel two, cart 5 and 6 on channel 3,…) on One channel there is always the same encoder and Sensor signal.
Head = Head level, on multihead devices you can combine multiple cartridges to act like one head(eg.: one 8-Head label with 8 cartridges on 4 channels all controlled by one encoder and one sensor)
On single head devices Cart, channel and head have the same meaning.

Performance data/Storage in MB:32
Font and label data are to be save to this storage?
The more font, the less label data in the storage?
Fonts and labels are all stored in the intenal X1Jet memory that is realized as a SD-Card with at least 4GB of memory. So there is enough space to store nearly unlimited labels and logos. The 32MB are just for temporary data, like the actual label that will be printed.
We have additional question about remaining ink amount.
Customer reported that the software shows “77%” when inserting a new cartridge into the printer.
And tried to inset into another WOCCS printer, it shows “68%”.
Several times, we repeated inserting and removing considering poor connections, but the result was same.
Do you have any idea about the cause of this?
How does this printer calculate the remaining ink amount?
When inserting a new cartridge the printer read the ink amount information from the cartridge. It should be 100%.
After using some ink the printer count the drops and calculate the amount. This will be written on the cartridge.
I have no idea why a new cartridge may show only 77% or 68%.
Do you have this cartridge? Could you please read the cartridge information and send the result:
